DEATH AND LIFE ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE
“I believe in Jesus as the great Shepherd of my soul so I speak Psalms 23 as follows: the Lord is my Shepherd I shall not lack any good thing, He makes me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honour to His name. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord for ever.”
According to psalms 91, I confess that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High I abide under the shadow of the Almighty, I say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust. Because I have made the Lord my refuge and the Most High my shelter, no evil will conquer me and no plague will come near my dwelling. He orders His angels to protect me where ever I go.
I never rise above my confession. A negative confession will lower me to the level of that confession. My confession imprisons me if it is negative, or it sets me free if it is positive. “He shall have whatsoever he saith” Mark 11:23. If I am always telling of my failings and my lack of faith, invariably I go to the level of this confession. When I confess lack of faith, that increases doubt. If I doubt His Word it is because I believe something else that is contrary to His Word. Ephesians 4:29 says “let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good, to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto hearers.” I refuse to allow my lips destroy the effectiveness of the Word of God in my case. I not only confess with my lips, also do not deny in my heart. I refuse to confess with my lips, but in my heart say, “but the Word is not true in my case”. The confession of my lips has no value if my heart repudiates it. I wise up with the Word and rise up to possess my possessions.
“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual, by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” Philemon 6.
Your faith becomes effectual (or activated) by your acknowledging or speaking forth every good thing in you in Christ Jesus.
