The Fountain of Wisdom Ministries was borne out of a burden to see God's people fulfil His plans and purposes for their lives. It started many years ago when God spoke to Rev Kola Ewuosho saying, "Go and create a forum where my children can flow with me in understanding". At the time he was a Mechanical Engineering student studying at a University in Nigeria. A number of years later he met his wife Pastor Funke Ewuosho and shared his burden with her. This saw the birth of the Fountain of Wisdom Ministries. Today, they are labouring side-by-side to see God's people flow with Him in understanding and wisdom. The vision of the Fountain of Wisdom Ministries is to fulfil the will of God that He revealed to Pastor Kola all those years ago: “To create a forum where my children can flow with me in understanding.” It is the heart's desire of the Ministry that all people come to the knowledge of the true God.

The Fountain of Wisdom Ministries has since become a global organisation with many people in different continents being encouraged, challenged and equipped to fulfil God's purposes for their lives. Borne out of the calling to "Create a forum where My people can flow with Me”, this mandate has been pursued through church planting, strategic equippers conferences, Discipling the Nations TV broadcast, free magazines and CD distribution programmes amongst many other things. The first FOWM church plant was the Word of Faith Christian Centre, in Kano, Nigeria. Since then, Ghana, Kenya and Cameroon have been influenced by the ministry's efforts in church planting. FOWM also has a base in the UK: Harvestime Church in Virginia Water, Surrey.
